Jetzt wird es Zeit für unser letztes Ziel bevor es über den Atlantik geht. Unsere Fahrt war gegen 6 PM sodass wir noch Zeit hatten, um ein paar Dinge für Kuba vorzubereiten und zu organisieren. Für Madrid buchten wir 3 Nächte im voraus. Couchsurfing funktionierte nicht so richtig, jeder schien nicht in der Stadt zu sein ^^.

Am späten Nachmittag ging es dann los und wir erreichten Madrid so gegen 1 AM Folgetag. Da ich kein Wasser mehr hatte, suchte ich nach einem Späti und fand tatsächlich noch einen.

Unsere Freunde aus Barcelona haben uns einen Karte von Madrid mitgegeben, auf der viele Dinge markiert waren, die wir besuchen sollen. Am ersten Tag ging es erst mal in die Umgebung des „Parque de el retiro“ und zum Park selbst. Mit den folgenden Fotos will ich dich mit auf die Reise nehmen (:

Das Zentrum von Madrid schien anfänglich sehr groß zu sein, aber nachdem wir eine Weile umherliefen realisierten wir, ok, ganz entspannt, das Zentrum können wir problemlos ablaufen und wir müssen nicht hetzen.

In unserem Hostel haben wir eine Rabattkarte für Subways gefunden sodass wir dort gleich mal essen waren. Ich wart dort schon Ewigkeiten nicht mehr und ich habe das Sandwich genossen. Wir aßen die nächsten auch bei Subways ^^. Wenn man so eine Rabattkarte für Subways hat, dann sollte man diese echt nutzen da es sich lohnt. Oft sind auch Promoter in der Nähe eines Stores die einem gute Angebote in die Hand drücken. Wir haben immer versucht irgendwas mit Ermäßigung zu finden. Selbst in den Souvenirläden haben wir die Sticker gehandelt 😀

Das Hostel hat jeden Morgen Frühstück bereitgestellt. Es war ganz schlicht aber okay um nicht mit leeren Magen in den Tag zu starten.
Heute wollten die Umgebung von der Metrostation Callao entdecken. Dazu gehört auch der Ägyptische Tempel, der Königliche Palast sowie die historische Bibliothek.

Der Königliche Palast bietet kostenlosen Zugang von Montag bis Donnerstag von 4 PM bis 6 PM (Okt-Mär) und 6 PM bis 8 PM (Apr-Sep). Viele Leuten wussten davon, also war die Schlange auch dementsprechend lang.

Das Hostel mussten wir bis 10:30 AM verlassen, aber wir konnten unsere Backpacks dort lassen und in die Stadt gehen. Es war Black Friday und wir gingen zum Supermarkt San Anton, der ganz oben nette Möglichkeiten hat, um sie niederzulassen und etwas zu speisen.
Auch hatten einige Snackbars Angebote sodass wir günstig Pizza abgreifen konnten. Wir waren nahe einer Shoppingstraße und schauten uns einfach nur um, ob wir was nützliches zum guten Preis finden können. Einen Regenjacke zum Beispiel ^^.

Eine Sache, die wir unbedingt probieren wollten waren Churros, die mit einer Tasse warmer Schokolade serviert werden. Und nicht den extra Zucker vergessen ^^.

Später gingen wir zurück ins Hostel um unsere Backpacks zu holen und nochmal ein Subway Sandwich zu essen bevor es zu einem Freund nach West-Madrid ging. Dort verbrachten wir eine Nacht bevor es dann weiter nach außerhalb von Madrid ging.

(251117) Madrid -> La Navata

Unser nächsten Ziel war immer noch in der Region von Madrid, aber wir mussten den Zug nehmen um dorthinzukommen. Dort wohnten die Eltern von einem Mädel, das wir in Portugal getroffen haben. Wir waren neugierig bezüglich der Umgebung außerhalb von Madrid.
Die Eltern haben uns herzlichst empfangen und es gab erst mal Pasta. Beide sprechen spanisch, aber die Mum etwas Englisch sodass wir uns schon irgendwie verständigen konnten. Nach dem Abendbrot machten wir noch einen Ausflug nach El Escorial zu einem schönen Aussichtspunkt und besuchten die Universität die auch eine Kirche besitzt.

Wir waren jetzt näher an den Bergen und die Landschaft ist hügeliger. Nahe des Hauses ist ein Park mit einem Fluss und einer alten Brücke. Im Sommer kann man dort Schlangen finden aber im späten November haben wir dort keine Tiere mehr entdeckt.
Das Wetter war sonnig, aber im Schatten wars trotzdem kalt.
