Madrid, final destination
(211117) Barcelona, ES -> Madrid, ES Now it is time for the last destination before flying above the atlantic ocean. Our ride was around 6 PM so we had the half day for preparing and organising things for Cuba. For Madrid we booked a hostel for 3 nights in advance. Couchsurfing did not seem to work this time. Everybody was out of the city ^^. In the late afternoon we caught the ride and arrived in Mardrid around 1 AM the following day. Because I had no water anymore I was looking for a „Späti“ and I did find one. I did not expect that.
Barcelona, we are spontaneous
I recommend you to read the last sections from the latest post to get on the right way 😉 Or watch the pictures only :p (111117 – 121117) Granada, ES -> Barcelona, ES On the way to Barcelona, Spain, 11/2017 We drove with the girl and the ride took us 18h because we did not drive that fast and we slept for 3 hours. Finally in Barcelona we grabbed the train from Sants station to our friends place in Cerdanyola del Valles and could have a well earned shower. After some pizza I immediately felt asleep. It were crazy days in this trip and I’m happy that I have survived them 😀
Andalusia, hot Sevilla and cold Granada
(031117) Faro, PT -> Huelva, ES It was time to move to Spain and the next city should be Sevilla. We wanted to make it until there. But yeah, things happen and change randomly like the follows.. We left the flat from our host and walked to the east side of the city. Near a petrol station we were picked up by a guy, who was originally from Canada. He brought us until Olhão. Not that far but ok. Unfortunately it started to rain and we decided to take the train until the border of Portugal.
Algarve, Faro to Lagos
(291017) Lisbon -> Faro, PT After we came back to Lisbon from Sintra, we had to get our stuff from the hostel and meet our ride at Marquis de Pombal. The ride was at 9 PM so we were in Faro at midnight. Because we had no place to stay our driver helped us finding a suitable place. There was a park near the airport inside we tried to find a protected place. After a few minutes of walking we had a cool place in the middle of the darkness. The place must be cleaned a bit before starting to camp. As we were preparing the space some dogs started barking and the sound came closer and closer…until we realised the puffing in front of us. But we could not see anything, just heard something. We stayed calm and stood there frozen for a while. As the dogs seemed to be away we put our stuff together to look for a new place. The adrenalin kept us awake for further two hours. Meanwhile it was 3 AM. The next place was not even better because we were to close to a private ground with, wondering, dogs again. Anyways, we spent the night there and waited until the sunrise…
Bom Dia Lisboa
(231017) Nazaré -> Lisbon The landscapes between Porto and Lisbon were explored and it’s time for the capital city. We took the bus from Nazaré to Valado to arrive surely. The bus driver should have become a race driver. He drove really crazy. Anyway at the train station there was a long rope and we could dry our tent and other stuff which was reailly necessary. Drying clothes at the train station in Valada, Portugal, 10/17
Aveiro, Coimbra & Nazaré
(181017) Porto (Espinho) -> Coimbra via Aveiro On the way to Lisbon, we wanted to see what’s in between Porto and Lisbon. Our first destination was Aveiro. It was half way to Coimbra. During the train ride… A train ride that is funny, a train ride that is great….on the way to Aveiro, Portugal, 10/17
